Our Staff

The staff at Westhaven are highly trained and focus on the needs of each resident.  We are committed to providing high standards of care in a warm, caring, friendly environment.

We are proud to have a very low staff turnover, with many of the staff having worked here for a number of years.

Heather is supported in the day-to-day work of the care home by several other nurses and a group of twenty care assistants, as well as cooks, domestic staff and laundry staff.

All our care assistants have many years’ experience of working with clients with dementia care.


Registered Manager

Heather has a wealth of experience managing care homes and has been our registered manager since 2015, having previously managed two other care homes in the Rhos on Sea area. She qualified with a degree in nursing back in 1984 and moved to Wales in 1985, having gained several years hospital experience before choosing to work in care homes.


Deputy Manager

Chris also has a wealth of experience in care homes, having started working in care as a health care assistant before doing nurse training and then returning to care homes as a qualified nurse. Like Heather she has worked in several care homes in the Rhos on Sea area, and has been deputy at Westhaven since 2015.
