Westhaven Nursing home is an independent and long-established nursing home located in Rhos-on-Sea, North Wales. We provide high quality care, for those with nursing and dementia needs. Our care is individually tailored to each resident’s needs.

Dementia Care
We offer a calm, reassuring environment tailored to the needs of people living with dementia. Our specialist dementia team is trained to understand the condition, recognise individual triggers and strengths, and respond with patience, empathy and skill.
Through structured routines, personalised activities and consistent emotional support, we help residents maintain independence, confidence and a strong sense of identity. Families can feel assured that their loved one is supported by staff who truly understand dementia and its impact.
Nursing Care
Our registered nurses are on duty 24 hours a day, providing expert clinical care for residents with complex or changing health needs. With ongoing professional development and specialist training, our nursing team delivers safe, responsive and holistic care that supports both physical and emotional wellbeing.
From medication management to long term condition support, our nurses work closely with GPs, therapists and families to ensure every resident receives the highest standard of clinical oversight.

Westhaven Nursing Home turned out to be faultless. We could not find a fault there. Everything was exemplary. I had visited a few nursing homes prior to Westhaven but I decided on Westhaven as soon as I had visited. All the staff are very caring, professional and attentive. The home is clean and fresh, my mum’s residence was during Covid restrictions and the staff coped with my regular visits with understanding and suitable professionalism.
I cannot overstate the gratitude I have for the care that the Westhaven staff provided for my mother in her final year. Having checked out several of the facilities in the area, we chose to wait for an opening at Westhaven and are so pleased we did so. The staff are exceptional and are clearly there because they believe in the service they are providing. The place is well maintained and geared to residents of all levels of need. Not only in terms of the major issues but also the smaller details that make a difference to the residents every day.
My dad has been in Westhaven home for many years, the staff have been very caring to him and myself and family. As he needs 24 hour full care the care he has received is excellent. Management and care staff have been like a family to us during these difficult past years.
